WebshopListen.dk is a platform I created to make online shopping in Denmark easier and safer. It’s designed to help users find the best webshops through detailed reviews and useful info like certifications, contact details, and physical addresses.
The main goal of the design direction for WebshopListen.dk was to craft a user experience that is simple, intuitive, and highly functional. The design took a minimalistic approach, ensuring the interface would remain clean and user-friendly while presenting an air of professionalism. This was especially important as WebshopListen.dk serves as a platform to enhance the safety and ease of online shopping in Denmark.
The colour palette was centred around dark tones and shades of blue. These were chosen not only for their professional and trustworthy aesthetic but also to align with the brand identity. The restrained use of accent colours ensures the design remains visually appealing without overwhelming the user, fostering a sense of calm and focus.
The design adhered to the best practices of UI/UX design, incorporating key principles such as Jakob's Principles (users prefer familiar design patterns), Hick’s Law (simplifying decision-making by reducing choices), and the Law of Proximity (organising related elements together for clarity). These principles ensured the platform would feel intuitive and require a minimal learning curve for new users.
